I love how for as long as I’ve been running this blog, the Aya Sugimoto tag has been next to dead.

When suddenly—!

ALL OF THE AYA PORN

(No judgment or anything - as long as she’s cool, I’m cool - and more to the point it’s awesome that she’s so open about her sexuality in a culture where women are traditionally sexually repressed.  I just find it amusing and surprising.  It’s the first time I’ve been suddenly inundated with unexpected porn on tumblr.  I KNOW - HOW HAVE I MADE IT THIS LONG?)

Every time someone comments on Miyuu, Rina, or Ayaka (mostly Ayaka) doing gravure work saying, “omg I can’t believe they do porn now,” I find myself at an impasse.

On the one hand I want to defend my bbs against this obvious slut-shaming, rant about the way sex workers are treated in general, and lay out the manymanymanyMANY reasons why gravure, while problematic in its depiction of women vis-a-vis the male gaze/objectification/etc., is not actually porn.

But mostly I just want to lol at the n00bs who don’t know what real porn looks like.
