From Rika Izumi’s interview with Model Press commemorating her first solo cover. She talks a little bit about her recruitment, and that she’s still always anxious and impatient while she’s modeling. She sure doesn’t look it!
Oh and she talks about Sailor Moon! Yay! She says she really liked the show because it was such a good way to debut and because she made such awesome friends with everyone. But in the future, she’d like to play more realistic roles, so I guess that means no more tokusatsu series in the future.
And then she says something about rice, foreign dudes, and international travel, so she lost me. This might partially refer to her recent trip to the states. I know she was going there for work, but I assumed it was a fashion shoot, not an acting project. Who knows?
More pics from the Official Ray Facebook page, including two cover photos with Rika Izumi.
Other people are nearly as excited about Rika’s cover as I am. Here are some pics promoting the shoot on the Ray Facebook page (including some alternative cover mock-ups), the Yamanote Line Shibuya Station, and an interview with Stardust, her agency.
I don’t think there’s anything particularly mind-blowing in the interview. They seem to talk about the logistics of modeling/cover modeling for a bit, and the huge popularity of the calendar mix-and-max sections Rika always does. If anyone has a look and sees something interesting, shoot me a line!
